Fallon Builders are fully licensed and insured in both the A.C.T. and N.S.W.  We guarantee our work and have all necessary warranties and insurances. These can be provided upon request.

Always ask:  *To see valid licences *To see necessary insurances (Warranty,Workers Compensation, Public Liability etc.) *To personally see some past projects *Are they available *How long to complete the project and have this entered in to the contract

We pride ourselves on offering a professional and personal service from start to finish. I personally quote and manually carry out all projects to ensure that we maintain our high standards in workmanship and customer service.  We are completely transparent with the client throughout the quoting process.  Until you are completely satisfied with ALL works we have carried out for you, only then will we invoice you. UNSATISFIED = NO PAY

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Exactly what they want done, materials/finishes to be used and if possible, know if there are any restrictions by local authorities, ACTPLA, which say otherwise. (Preliminary plans by a draftsperson is ideal whenever required)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

*If possible have a clear idea/picture of what you wish to achieve  *If possible have a set of preliminary plans already drafted for estimations if your project requires  *Are you able to carry out some of the works yourself? (Demolition, Cleaning)

What makes your pricing competitive?

Our prices have always been competitive for our standard of work in the past.   We practice efficient building methods and with several long standing accounts with our trade suppliers we obtain competitive pricing for all materials.  We offer a fair price for good work.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Fallon Builders has a standard list of rates for all Carpentry which can be provided upon request. We charge accordingly to the job at hand: *Fixed Price *Hourly Rate *Cost Plus Agreement  Usually there is a 10% deposit taken when contracts are signed and depending on the size of the project maybe some progress payments through to final payment. These will always be stated in writing before commencement.  For minor works ($3,000.00 or below) just a 10% deposit before starting then a final payment on completion.

As mentioned above, we are fully licensed and insured in both the A.C.T. and N.S.W., specialising in a wide range of services but primarily focusing on domestic builds, renovations and carpentry. We can help you with anything to do with building, from minor handyman repairs, organising any trades you may require, even guide you through the complete building process from design to construction.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I personally have over 20 years experience working on the tools as a Carpenter/Joiner and have worked on a whole range of projects from residential builds and renovations to commercial fit outs. I completed my 4 year Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship in 1998 then went on to night school at Master Builders Canberra to obtain my 'C' class Builders licence. I am licensed & insured in both the A.C.T. & N.S.W.
