  Coast Renovation Noosa replaced two balcony decks in my strata apartment. The initial quote was ~$8,000; the final cost was just over $9,000. The decking itself looked fine from inside the apartment so I paid in full on completion. From the street, however, the balconies looked unfinished: the underside/fascia presentation differed materially from the original (and neighbouring balconies) and was not a like-for-like visual replacement, which is important in strata. This difference wasn’t clearly explained at the quoting stage. When I raised this, completing the job was offered only on very short notice, for a limited window on a day I wasn’t available, with no alternative dates proposed. A month later, when I tried to arrange a mutually suitable time, I received a text stating: “well, obviously, I can’t put back my paying customers and lose money for a customer who isn’t planning to pay me,” despite the contract already being paid in full. Given the breakdown in communication, I asked for the materials to be supplied so I could arrange someone else to finish the work. Although the materials were supplied, they were not cut to size as requested. Some workmanship was satisfactory, but the overall experience was stressful, communication was poor, and the final outcome did not meet expectations. I recommend confirming the exact scope, finish, and visual outcome in writing before engaging.

  Callum built a new deck for us at the back of our house . The quality of his workmanship and design ideas were outstanding. Would highly recommended Callum to anyone considering adding a deck or outdoor entertaining area to their house. A first rate experience

  We initially engaged Callum to rebuild a decaying deck - which resulted in a beautiful outdoor space and gave the house a fresh new look. We were so impressed with the quality of his work and the excellent ideas for improvement of other aspects of the house that he then project-managed a major renovation including re-roofing, installing new shutters, bathroom refit, interior modifications and replacement of all light fittings throughout. His sub-contractors were excellent and everything was done on time - Callum's reliability and professionalism was greatly appreciated! We were very lucky to have found Callum for our renovation! Could't recommend him highly enough...
