Location: Warwick, WAJob Description: Single level 5 x 2 home with concrete tiled roof. From what I can see the hip & ridge pointing looks ok however the building inspector says it needs attention. I need someone to come take a look to determine how much repointing is required and provide a quote. There is also a roof protrusion which needs re-flashing (4" diameter metal vent) I have been advised as the purpose of this vent is linked to a natural gas bayonet outlet, that it may be cut off below the roof to vent into the ceiling space, negating the need for re-flashing. This advice will need to be verified of course. Colour matching of the tiles is not included - we will swap the new tile with one at the gutter line at the back of the house so it cannot be seen. To re-point up to 5l/m of the Ridge/Hip Caps including cleaning/grinding out the old pointing to create a clean base to repoint onto and ensure weep holes are installed - it is believed this is the ingress point and is running down the sarking.
