Yes I am QBCC qualified, and have Public liability Insurance. I guarantee the work knowing that I'm using a great product and again Prepare work is everything. If that's done right the job will last

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Those days it was decided by the parents. It was Carpenter, Tiler or Painter. I decided to do painting and today I'm glad I did. It's a rewarding trade.  Still loving it after 40 years

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As we're from Europe, and not really learnt english in school, we have a strong accent. A lady rang up and left a message. I called back 10 minutes later and her husband was on the phone. When introducing myself he said "I'm not buying anything" and hung up. So it went for about 6 times. I gave up and rang in the afternoon. Lucky the lady was on the phone. And I explained to her what happened "seeing the funny side of it"  they were so embarrassed. They were an elderly couple, we got the job and her husband had tears in his eyes when we were finished and said goodbye. I never forget.

What do you like most about your job?

The HAPPY customer after the job is done. I did new homes for a while but there is not really a reward. Working for a private customer is so exciting. Every day they come home there is a change and that is really good to see.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Well if the painter is Trade qualified, there are too many out there doing painting and they are "handyman". It's not good. A painter who is Trade qualified "learnt" what needs to be done to make the paint last.

Accepted Answer

Customers usually ask how long the work takes, so need to see each job as every job is different. Customers usually want to know what Product we're using, we use any of the major brands. These days most big brands are really good.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I am in Townsville for 16 years now and actually do not advertise. I get most all of my work from past "happy" customers. They tell friends, family and Associates about us and that's how we work. I am always on time and absolutely trustworthy.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Because we care. We not only do a good job but we also move furniture, remove curtains, clean the ceiling fans, If ceiling fans are to rusty we even paint them. All this services are "at no extra cost". We Vacuum clean, we are neat and tidy and reliable.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Where about the job is, how big the job is, when they want it done. But I always prefer to have a look as I can give a Quote and not just an estimate. If you Quote on the phone, the customer can run the risk that it costs more when done.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

When painting exteriors we usually have the house pressure cleaned before painting. If you do it yourself it saves you money. If the house is empty, it can save money. And if they change floor coverings "after" painting, means we don't have to cover up.

We offer great customer service, always on time. We move furniture, we remove curtains, we clean ceiling fans, all for free. We clean after sanding to get rid of most of the dust

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

I am realistic in my pricing and don't aim to get every job. I absolutely make sure that everything is done right the first time. Prepare work is so important. It is no point to aim for every job and not doing the right thing by the customer. Our customers can see that we care. And if they have other Quotes with same standard there is usually not a big differtence

How do you normally charge for your service?

I prefer to come to the customers place, even if it's only for one wall to paint. Then I can see what condition the wall is in. If there are stains which need a special undercoat otherwise they come through the paint. And the customer will get a written Quote to make sure everything is the way they want it.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Any kind of painting. But specialise in wallpaper hanging. Any kind of wall Coverings. From beautiful wallpaper to heavy Vinyl. I guarantee a lasting job, no edges will come apart as I'm using a very heavy Duty Adhesive.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

QBCC licensed. I did my training in Europe and that involved 6 years of School and working for a professional Painter. I have also done 6 years of Plastering. Which is very good for the customer. We can fix holes in walls or ceilings and then do the painting.
