Location: Croydon Park, NSWJob Description: I need a builder to address two walls in my living room. A party wall and a wall dividing the living room and kitchen. (1) Party wall: Party wall in my living room is retaining moisture. Needs to be replaced. During the renovation of a neighbouring property, the builder caused water to seep into the party wall in my living room. I had an engineer's report done and to ensure mould and mildew will not be a problem I need to have the wall torn down, aired out and reconstructed. The wall dimensions are 4.3 M X 3.2 M X 2.8 M high. Specific actions to be taken are the following:NOTE: If elevated moisture on the rendered common wall within the living area persists, and further water-related damage occurs, i.e. flaking and disintegration of render, demolition, drying and re- rendering of the Living room wall may be warranted. Allow for disconnection, testing and reconnection of light fittings. [1 Off PS allowance $100 for replacement of one downlight I required] Demolish and replace wallpaper, allow to match the existing. If matching of wallpaper cannot be achieved, the remaining wallpaper replacement is warranted. [10.0 m2] Prepare, bleed seal, and paint the wall and ceiling lining (including cornices, skirting, picture rail, etc.). [Allow for 10.0 m2] (2) Wall between living room and kitchen: I'm also looking to of tearing down a wall between the kitchen and living room (a different wall) if its not load bearing to combine and open up the living areas of the house. 07 Aug 2023Location: Croydon Park, NSWJob Description: All other tiles need have removed - the only tiles remaining are the ones directly under window and window seal, I believe these need to be jack hammered as the guy who initially did the job didn't have a jack hammer, so he only removed what he was able to remove by hand as they were practically falling off. The new kitchen has already been installed so have to be careful not to scratch the new cabinets. I have highlighted in blue the tiles that need to be removed.
