Job Description: Looking for a licensed electrician to install a DC ceiling fan in my bedroom. The fan is a Fanco Urban-iD DC 52 model, remote controlled with no light, and will be supplied by me. This is a new installation with no existing fan wiring. The ceiling is standard plaster with existing downlights and a wall switch nearby, and there is no visible ceiling manhole. Im happy for the wiring from an existing downlight to be used as the power source if suitable; however, I do not want the fan installed in the downlights current position, as it is too close to the edge of the room. The fan needs to be installed closer to the centre of the room, which I understand will require a new ceiling opening. Installation may also require fan-rated mounting or timber support as needed. I dont have a plasterer arranged, so preference is for access via wall cavity or existing openings where possible, but Id really appreciate an onsite inspection before the job is carried out, for my peace of mind. Please confirm whats included in your price, and availability.
