I phoned two celebrants from my local paper and liked the sound of Debra straight away. We had an unusual wedding with a pirate theme and Debra performed the whole service in a very professional manner, and also was a lot of fun which helped with the theme of the wedding. I would have no hesitation in recommending Debra.

When Geraldene, a friend of mine for many years, first became a celebrant, my partner Gregory and I knew she would be the right person to marry us, once the law allowed same-sex couples the right to marry. As things turned out we opted to marry in New Zealand in 2014 and so we did not get to have Gerri solemnise our marriage under Australian law. However with the passage of Marriage Equality in 2017 and with our overseas marriage becoming legal in December we decided to have a re-commitment ceremony. We engaged Gerri to perform the official ceremony of our re-commitment. From the outset we realised it was the right choice. Gerri's professionalism and thoughtfulness was consummate. On the night, everything went perfectly, making the evening a huge success. We chose Gerri not just because she is a friend, but because she is also a kind, caring, trustworthy and most importantly a reliable person whom we entrusted our most special day to. Without hesitation I recommend Geraldene Fleishman. Note: When Marriage Equality legislation passed, Geraldene put a notice on Facebook advising that the first three same-sex couples to book a wedding with her would get it for free. Purely by chance Gregory and I were the third couple to contact Geraldene. We didn't know about the free offer until after we called her, and had been planning to pay for her services.
