Old gas heater to be removed (gas disconnected) and surround to be removed 2. Remove brick hearth in front of heater. Bricks sit on loose rubble. Will require sub floor framing where was hearth was 3. Replace wall with plaster board - hoping to retain place above the mantle piece. To be plastered ready to paint but painting not required 4. We removed our ducted heating so have 6 ducts l and 1 large return that need to be replaced with recycled flooring (baltic pine) 5. Replace floor boards that meet the hearth as we want flooring to the wall.
