Job Description: The walls are currently asbestos sheeting. We are looking to have these removed, but as a result we would require new plastering of the walls. We currently have a quote for these asbestos sheets to be removed, as a seperate job however if this is something your company also offers, we would be interested in a quote with and without the removal. As we would be looking to move around the shower/basin/bath tub (where there is already plumbing available) the plastering of walls would likely need to be redone in the process anyway. Please see attached photos of the bathroom in it's current state (in some need for TLC). We are looking to move the basin to greet those walking through the door and have a good sized mirror above. We are keen to keep a bath-tub for resell purposes however would prefer a newer budget/rental friendly tub as this one is quite old. We are open to ideas around placement of the shower/bath. Ultimately we want to keep the bathroom feeling as spacious as possible, with a clean design. Unfortunately we are on a budget of under 10K (especially after the asbestos being removed) so we are looking to keep the costs down as much as possible, wherever possible, and are happy to discuss options around this. There is no vent on the roof (asbestos sheeting also), and as we do not have the budget currently to have these sheets removed, we have discussed with a few companies the idea of concealing the ceiling instead, in time. What this means is we likely won't be able to add in a vent; to work with this, we are considering moving the shower closer to the window to help with airflow and avoid hot air being trapped in the higher parts of the ceiling. I've also attached a theme that I have seen online that I really like for a full picture. Please reach out if you require further details for an estimated quote of the job.
Services needed: Update the bathroom cosmetically | Stage of process: Planning phase | Approval for works: Not needed | Size of project: 2.7 x 1.8 | Quality expectations: Budget design and finish | When: Any time that works
