By providing previous quotes they may have received so as to have a ballpark figure, which we will match or beat by a percentage.  To provide materials needed for the job as to save fuel costs.  To consider cheaper, temporary fixes as opposed to permanent ones such as silicone or grout on tiles compared to replacing them.
