Will you do a quick job or a good job? Always look for honesty and transparency - don't always look for a quote beforehand as quotes will ALWAYS err on the side of the tradesman and will end up costing you more most of the time. Estimates can be a better way of getting an idea of the project costs while ensuring your chosen tradesman spends the time needed to do a quality job, and will more often end up cheaper for you!

I own my small business and get the majority of my work through word of mouth, so I pride myself in providing a quality and reasonably priced service so you won't hesitate in calling me again for any future projects.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1) Prepare the work area - clear the area and prepare it for work. You don't want to pay trades to move your furniture. The quicker they can set up and get on with the job, the cheaper for you. 2) Prepare the materials. Having everything ready for the job on site before the trades arrive will save them a lot of time sourcing it and delivering it to site, which will also save you money. 3) Be clear and know what you want. Make all necessary decisions about the project before the trades arrive and be sure to talk to them clearly before work begins so you both know what to expect from the project. Trades can be great advice for the logistics of a project, but the specific materials, colours, styles of the finishes and hardware are personal choices and up to you - get these choices solidified prior to beginning.

I have a wide range of skills, so can often save you a lot of time and money by providing the service that would ordinarily take 2 or more separate trades. I also believe in fair pricing for fair work, so my rates are indicative of this.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We will usually charge out at hourly rates + material costs. For bigger projects we have a day rate and weekly rates which will both save you money.
