We contracted Mals Building Services to convert an under stairs space into a walk in food pantry. This was not a straightforward project as it involved gyprok ceiling the underside of the stairs, providing shelving, tiling and electrical work within a confined space. There were difficulties with the renovation but any concerns we had were resolved. Mal was determined to ensure that we were happy with all work undertaken. Two are leaking in the corner when there is heavy rain, I suspect it is easily fixed with a bit of silicone, which would not be visible as the frame is partially tucked behind a wall corner. The frame next to the leaks (20cm to 30cm of wood frame) will need a light sand and bit of Danish oil (I have the oil) touch up. Shower grout where wall meets floor has degraded, need removal and replacing, approximately 2.5m to 3m linear length of grout repair. Needs to look nice and tidy. Outdoor wall is where we bricked up a doorway. We have the paint (lime wash based) it will need 2 to 3 coats. Basin waste with spring loaded plug in bathroom sink has broken and the whole waste and plug needs replacing as you cannot remount the spring loaded plug. You will need to source a new waste with a plug from Reece plumbing. Toilet roll holders x 2 wobble as screws inserted into stud wall into a space. Likely fixable using a filler/liquid nails around wall plug. Deck around pool is approximately 38sqm with 6 steps leading up to it. Needs cleaning, checking all nails are flush and then oiling, I can provide the deck oil and deck oil applicator.
