Having posture and shoulder problems for several years, i spent a lot of time and money trying to find a solution. It wasn't until going to a gym and starting a program that i began to notice improvement. This is when i met Jamie and got introduced to the mighty KettleBell - and haven't looked back. Jamie's training is most importantly, a lot of fun, but high impact and gives quick and noticeable benefits. I no longer go to a regular gym, i have my own Kettlebells and train at the Fitstrong Gym with Jamie. My health and fitness are a very important part of my life, and the Kettlebell has been a godsend, mentally and physically its been a huge benefit for my lifestyle.
Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
FitStrong PT is a caring business with a duty of care to trainees and trainer and as such, is fully insured. First aid training is kept up-to-date and professional registration to Physical Activity Australia is maintained.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
In the 1990s after graduating as a mechanical engineer I took time away from the Uni life and took the next step in my cycling passion by securing a semi-professional cycling opportunity. I raced until 1998 when a knee injury preventing me from committing as much. During my off time as a cyclist I studied and passed my Fitness Instructor Certificate and then once I stopped racing quickly realised my passion for training people. I naturally up-skilled to a PT and spend many years trying various elements of the fitness industry before discovering the world of kettlebell strength training in 2009, then corrective movement training and various elements of post rehabilitation training. My largest mantra personally and as a business is, 'always a student'.
