Ever since the beginning of high school. I loved doing woodwork and all design subjects, building was a no brainer for me to pursue when I finished school

We did a kitchen for an older couple a few years ago. Long after the job had finished I would get phone calls from them saying how happy they were with the job that we had done and the service that we had provided. They were awesome people.

The majority of questions are during the planning stage. I try to guide them in the best decision with my knowledge, without being too assertive.

Ideally have a set of plans. If they cant be provided a clear vision of what the owner wants the final outcome to be.

- Research the type of work that you are looking at getting done, so that you cant be talked into products and services you don't need. - Get more than 1 quote, giving you an idea of what the job may be worth. - Have a clear understanding of what you want from the job before it begins

We do a lot of the work ourselves, meaning that not a lot of work is subcontracted out to other trades.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Normally fixed price quote. If a job is difficult or the customer would prefer we can work on an hourly rate. Job is then invoiced and we require payment by electronic transfer within 7 days of invoice.

We specialise in new build custom houses, renovations and extensions. There is no job too big or too small for us.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Whilst completing my carpentry trade, I also studied a Certificate 4 in building. Since getting my builders licence we have continued to broaden our range of work. We are from the old school style of building, being on the tools, involved in the job from start to finish.
