  Many years ago we purchased a 1950’s cream brick farm house in the hills outside Melbourne. The house was dated and the three acres of gardens overgrown and un-landscaped. It presented a challenging and ongoing project. On the recommendation of friends, we approached James Caink for advice on how to proceed with our dated and neglected property. Since that time, we have maintained a long association with James and call on him for each project. In the weeks prior to the start of each job, James calls to discuss options and make suggestions about the project. He arrives early so that we can address any issues on site before the working day begins. Over the years, we have come to appreciate James’s ability to think laterally when presented by particularly difficult issues. James keeps to budget and, when not delayed by Melbourne’s weather, he keeps to time. This is a great achievement given the size and scope of my gardens. More recently James has fully landscaped the gardens of our brand new build in Sorrento, including, decking a sizeable alfresco area, paving around a large pool and spa area, laying turf and planting the rest of the gardens. The results have been stunning.   Completed some beautiful Castlemaine slate crazy paving on front path leading up to and including portico. The landscaper was working with gorgeous natural stone in a variety of shapes. I think this takes quite a lot of skill to do properly. The result was fabulous and greatly improved the look and feel of my house. I was really pleased to have made the investment.
