Location: Mangerton, NSWJob Description: Hey there, My partner and I are hoping to receive a quote for removalists to help us move house from Mangerton to Fairy Meadowon Thursday 21st (most likely during the afternoon, as we'd need to pick up the keys from the agent that morning). We wouldalso be curious to know approx how long the job would likely take. Our townhouse in Mangerton is two stories, with just the bedrooms/study and 2x bathrooms/linen cupboard upstairs (the stairs are probably typical in width, but they do split in the middle in opposite directions). There are also a couple of stairs at the front door and a side gate outdoors to enter into the yard from the driveway. Perhaps the biggest challenge with our job is that we live in a battleaxe block which has a steep driveway with a big bump at the sidewalk curb. This bump would mean that most removalist trucks can't make it over, as even normal cars which have a lot in the boot/a full car can scrape underneath. I believe our neighbours recently had success moving using a 4.5L removalist truck, whereas when we moved in we had to hire a 2nd ute to transport everything from the big removalist truck on the street to our townhouse at the end of the long driveway. We would definitely rather avoid doing this again, and prefer to find an appropriately sized removalist truck for the job (e.g., 4.5L perhaps) that can make it up the driveway to our townhouse. To help you with the quote, out townhouse has the below items to be moved across to our new property (approximately): 1x Master bedroom:1x king bed / very heavy mattress, 2x bedside tables, 1x bookshelf with books (and maybe 1x cost in storage), 1x smallish standing heater, 2x small dehumidifiers, 1x single leather chair, 1x suitcase, and a few extra big boxes from the walk-in wardrobe (e.g., clothes etc) 1x children's room:2x single beds and 1x toddler bed (each with mattresses), 2x little bookshelves, 1x tall lamp, rocking horse, 1x oil heater, and a few extra big boxes from the built-in wardrobe (e.g., clothes & toys etc). 2x bathrooms:a few big boxes for linen, storage bags, bathroom stuff/toys (etc) 1x study:1x long desk, 1 x short desk, 3x office chairs, 2x monitor, 1x computer, 1x printer, 7(ish)x small sets of 4x drawers, 1x bookshelf with books, 1x fold out couch, and a few extra big boxes from the built-in wardrobe (e.g., office related stuff and random storage), 1x metal shelves 1x laundry:washing machine, clothes dryer, medicine cupboard, 2x metal shelves, 3x metal portableclothes racks, 2x laundry baskets, 4x small sets of wooden 4x open drawers 1x kitchen:numerous big boxes for typical kitchen appliances/plates etc/pantry stuff, 1x microwave, 1x fridge, 1x wooden kids learning tower 1x dining room:1x dining table, 5 dining chair, 1x keyboard, 1x big cabinet, 1x big heavy exercise bike, 2x small kids tables & chairs, 1x very small wooden wall cabinet, a few boxes from the cabinet (e.g., books, board games, puzzles etc) 1x lounge room:1x heavy 3 seater recliner, 2x heavy 1 seater recliner, 1x big (yet somewhatlight) coffee table, 1x tv cabinet, 1x tv, 1x coat/shoe rack, 1x soft big plastic rug/mat, 1x wooden two garden seat, 1x large art work canvas, 1x smaller wall mirror, 1x standing lamp, a few boxes (children's toys and tv stuff) 1x smallish walk-in storage / craft space:numerous boxes of art/craft supplies & toys (many of which could fit in pre-existing plastic tubs/crates/cane boxes), 2x metal shelves, 2x x folded up pram, 2x tall fan, tent/camping gear 1x garage:numerous big boxes of storage, 1x filing cabinet, 2x metal shelves, 1x adult bicycle, 1x motorbike, 1x bedside table, 3x small children's bikes, 1x children's scooter Outside:trampoline (ideally keeping the 2.5m diameter metal base together, if it fits in truck), 1x kids medium size plastic climbing equipment (can be disassembled), 1x small plastic kids slide (can be disassembled), 1x big plastic kids car for riding, 1x garden storage trunk, 1x big heavy wooden outdoor table, 8x wooden outdoor chairs, 7x big pots with plants/trees inside, 1x single leather chair, 1x wooden fold-up table, 4x small wooden side tables, 5x plastic tubs (of toys/garden supplies), numerous smaller pot plants with bases (some empty & stackable though), numerous metal pot holders, 1x medium size bbq, 1x big free standing hammock (probably can be disassembled), 1x 1.5m sandpit (probably can be emptied), 8ish bags of sand, a few big boxes of miscellaneousoutdoor & exercise stuff. It's likely I'm missing some stuff but that's fairly accurate I'd say. There would be quite a bit here we can probably take across outside in our own car, but we would be curious to get a few quotes to help us get a sense of how much it would cost for most of the above to be taken across by removalists and then also how much it'd cost just the heavier and bigger stuff to be taken across (that can't fit in a typical small car).
