Contacted quickly and professionally by Vani after job posted. Clearly understood the nature of the problem well and were ready to do the work. Stuck largely to indicative quote in initial call, although job scope did increase as I expected. Reviewed workshop, met Mick, clearly knew his stuff. Met Hari. Rock solid blokes I'd say. Good, fully transparent, open workshop approach alleviated my concerns of not knowing anything about the business, as did a review of website and yellow pages entry. While a professional image may not be a precursor to a good outcome, it is nonetheless a bit of pointer, and I see a lack of one as a bright red flag. Once I confirmed the job, work was done in a very timely manner (3 days), with an updated quote supplied by Hari the day after drop off, as per my request, once work had been fully scoped (I suspected valve and DOHC damage were likely, it turned out to be one bank, with bent valves and broken rockers - all parts removed were also supplied, as I requested, a good no BS approach). Charge was precisely as quoted, this zero variance approach is much appreciated given some of the shonky rubbish that goes on at some mechanics. Picked car up, thoroughly cleaned, running smooth as silk now. Really impressed with timeliness of job, outcome and professionalism of the business. Good to find a really good mechanic in the local area.
Got my Log book service done. It was done with great care. The mechanic did speak to me about the job and explained it. I would certainly recommend this garage.
