I have no hesitation in recommending Bill Hayek and his team for all and any garden work that they undertake. I would certainly employ them again as the quality of their work was beyond reproach.
They removed a couple of very tall trees from the jungle -backyard I call a garden. In addition they trimmed a box-brush and a huge lilly-pilly extensively and removed alot of extra debris.
The five main criteria I used for assessing this team are as follows:
PRICING --Bill's quote was competitive and reasonable.
COMPETENCY-- Bill was well-organised from beginning to the end, was always punctual and always returned calls.
QUALITY OF WORK.-- As already stated, I was very pleased with the final job, but I was also impressed by the way the team took on a couple of extra tasks without complaining (e.g. they moved a dumped vehicle that was impeding entry through my back gate and also removed and later replaced my old clothes hoist.) During the chopping and lopping stage of the job, nothing was damaged or broken and the plants around the area were protected. Later the green waste was mulched and removed.
ATTITUDE -- I was initially apprehensive about hiring anyone that had not been personally recommended by friends, however Bill is a good communicator -- patient, ready to explain things when asked and constantly inviting feedback. From our first meeting, when he inspected the site, until the job was finished, we communicated several times by phone, by email and text-messages. Before starting, he gave me a detailed account of my options and lots of sound gardening advice for the future.
He and his team were always courteous and cheerful, so I never felt intimidated by them as I sometimes am with tradesmen, mechanics , builders etc. Being an old lady pensioner, that respectful attitude was important. to me.
TIME--The job was finished quickly in approximately three hours.
OVERALL--a refreshingly positive experience garnished by a delicious assortment of Mrs Hayek's cakes.
