Job Description: My family and I moved into our Sout Launceston property in January 2023. Due to recent wet weather, we discovered water leaking in the downstairs rumpus room. We believe the leak is coming from the drainage or faulty waterproofing on the tiled balcony have the rumpus. I pulled away the plaster ceiling and wall and discovered pretty severe rotted timber/frame damage. I'm guessing this has been a construction fault going back to 2015 when the townhouse was completed. I've attached some photos of what we discovered during the week. We're obviously looking at repairing the damage and getting the balcony waterproofed, so this won't happen again.
