  Safe & Sound were recommended to me and I now understand why! From the initial contact, the quotation, and the actual move, all the staff have been fantastic to deal with. They even fittied in a late minute change to our moving date. I would not hesitate to use them again and appreciate the trustworthy service provided.

  Can't recommend more highly. All staff were very professional through all stages of our complicated moves from Melbourne to Bendigo, back to Melboune and finally arranging the final move to Brisbane where a professional team unloaded and installed to our complete satisfaction. The only company with realistic pricing and excellent communication making this a highly successful move in what is a stressful time.

  Absolutely rubbish. Only book if you plan to do most of the work yourself. A lot of excuses of why they can’t move/pack stuff. Are they actually a removal company? Do not use ever. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  We enaged with Safe and Sound Storage to store our belongings while we had renovations done to our house. I received a timely quote from Rod and scheduling was easy to set up. Part of the agreement was for the removalists to dismantle and reassemble some of the furniture including the beds. The two guys who came to dismantle and put our stuff into storage were lovely. On returning the stuff one of the removalists was different. The new removalists was less than pleased about putting the beds back together despite it being agreed upon in my initial request. In reference to putting the beds back together he said "I don't want to do it......but I will" then walked off muttering under this breath. When I said it was part of the initial agreement that they would dismantle and reassemble the beds he said he didn't like putting furniture back together that he didn't dismantle. His colleague in the day was one of the guys involved in dismantling so he would not be doing it completely blind. If he did have an issue with reassembling furniture this is something that should be discussed with his boss prior to the day not for me to try and navigate. After they left I noticed damage had been done to one of our bed frames. This bed had been bought brand new and used approx 3 times. On both sides had visible deep scratches that looked as though they had been etched into the frame. We don't have any pets or young kids that could have been able to do any damage. I'm at a loss as to how this kind of damage would have happened other than intentionally. I advised Rod about the damage, sent pictures and offered he could come to inspect. I was offered compensation of $100 to cover the damage. I advised Rod I was not satisfied with the damages for the bed. The bed is essentially brand new and now had visible deep scratches on both sides. I received no reply or further correspondences from Rod nor apology. Instead he just went ahead and transferred the $100 to my account . I would absolutely not use this company again. Im absolutely disgusted by the damage done, what I'm left with and the behaviour of one of their removalists.

  Hi Maria,  Thank you for the time that you took to leave this review. We are sorry to hear your belongings were damaged and feeling depressed.           During the transit, our team will wrap all the furniture with our covers on the day of the move. So that all the items are well protected during the transit. But unfortunately, due to the instability in transportation, some damage does happen. We very much understand how low our clients feel when they see damage to their belongings. In order to protect client's rights and interests to the greatest extent, we provide full insurance to cover the transit damage.  We thank you for still recognizing our quoting system, our one-stop container storage and moving service, and the rest of the moving team despite such frustration. With regard to the vandalism you report in this review, we can guarantee you that we will never tolerate this type of incident in the workplace for any reason whatsoever. We have carefully investigated this matter and have spoken to other members of the team who were involved in the work together. Based on the conversations and an assessment of the marks of damage, it appears that the damage was not intentional and was most likely caused by contact with other furniture while driving or moving. We are really sorry for this misunderstanding. We apologize that the manager was on leave during this period for health and family reasons and that we did not receive your comments on the compensation option in a timely manner. We have a certain level of compensation for surface damage that does not affect the functionality of the furniture. If you are not satisfied with this criteria, we can repair your furniture or help you with an insurance claim. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your preferred solution.
