Absolutely, all materials are guaranteed as per manufacturers guarantee and all workmanship is guaranteed for 10 years. I am confident that all our work meets and exceeds Australian Standard Codes and have no hesitation in guaranteeing our work. We have all workers compensation and public liability insurances in place and are available for viewing on request.

What do you like most about your job?

The best thing about this job is meeting new clients, providing as much information to educate them as possible, and seeing a client happy and satisfied with their new roof. Many of my clients are now my friends, and that is truely rewarding.

When I hire tradesmen, I always ask if they are fully insured, and if I can see some of their work. I always ask for a full written quote, and always ask if they have any previous customers I can talk to regarding their work.

The most common questions I am asked is when can you come and have a look at our roof. I always organise a time that suits the client. I am also often asked how soon can you do the job. My answer is I am always busy but I will at least be able to make a start on the more urgent components. That way at least if leaks are fixed you can sleep easy when it rains. Another frequently asked question is do you require up front payment - the answer is no.

I have always disliked tradesmen who say they are coming and never turn up, and dont even have the decency to give me a courtesy call. I dislike pushy salesmen and I always seek honesty in people. I always do my own research on a product and query the salesman on the product to see if they are telling the truth. These are the traits I dislike in others so I always seek to be punctual, honest, friendly and courteous in my own life. I cant keep an honest and reputable business in operation if I dont follow these simple rules.

We are genuine. Kalamunda Roof Restorers has been in the family 42 years, and we are here to stay. We have pride in our work and are happy when our customers are happy. We are fully insured for public liability, workers compensation, working at heights certified, police cleared and always work with safety as priority. We don't cut corners, we always use quality products which carry a manufacturers guarantee and we always guarantee our workmanship. We are punctual, so we come when we say we are coming, if we are running late, we let you know. We are honest with our advice - if it need doing, we tell you, if it does not need doing we tell you. We offer free quotes. That means we dont charge call outs to have a look at your roof, and we are not pushy salesmen. We have never had any complaints, always positive feedback. We have great customer support - if there is a problem, you call us, we come back no questions or charge.

Before we can give clients a firm quote, we need to find out what is required on their roof. Each roof is different and will vary in cost depending on many factors. We spend the time to provide our clients with an accurate and fair quote based on the requirements of their individual roof.

The best way for a customer to save money is by going for the cheapest quote. Although the monetary saving is clear at the beginning, it may not be as time goes on when the poor workmanship or cheap products begin to fail. If you cant afford to do it properly, dont waste your money doing a cheap job. Do the job properly and you will save money in the long run.

What makes a job competitive is not the total cost, but what kind of service is provided, two quotes can be exactly the same, but one business has no integrity, honesty, or customer care, while the other does. One does substandard work, the other superior work. One arranges a time to come and quote but never comes, the other is punctual and professional. Dont look at a business just for their price, look at the whole package. We provide the whole package.

How do you normally charge for your service?

The services we provide are always quoted for and signed off by the client prior to commencement of the work. Once the job is complete and the customer is happy, the customer is sent an invoice detailing the work completed with different options for payment and due date. Larger jobs require a 6.5% deposit which is the maximum permissible by the Building Commission.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We specialise in all aspects of roofing so we cover anything from a simple tile exchange right through to replacing your roof. We've even done shed wall and roof re-sheeting, driveway sealing and painting and graffitti removal. We handle all gutter and roof plumbing work and provide a professional gutter cleaning service. Basically, anything that needs doing on the roof, we've got it covered.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We have combined over 60 years experience in painting, restoration, tiling and maintenance. We understand roofs and the problems associated with them extremely well. It is very rare that we would come accross a problem that we havnt seen before or cant solve. Our customer service ensures that if there is ever a problem that you can be sure to give us a call and we will come and investigate and fix as soon as possible.
