We booked Jim’s Flooring Sydney expecting the quality and professionalism that the Jim’s brand advertises. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. The job started late — the team arrived without materials on day one and ran over schedule, forcing weekend work that upset our strata. They spilled liquid on the hallway carpet (which we had to get steam cleaned), left rubbish behind, and the site was dusty and messy when they left. The workmanship was just as poor. The floor levelling was not done properly, leaving uneven sections that move underfoot. The skirting was cut from short, mismatched pieces with rough joins, and even after moving in we keep finding glue splatters and flaws that were never fixed. While they later agreed to adjust the invoice back to the original amount and remove the levelling charge, the quality of the work itself was below standard and it is too late to go back and redo it. Looking at the floors now, it’s clear essential steps were skipped. Maybe other Jim’s Flooring locations are better, but based on my experience, I would not recommend the Sydney franchise. repliedJim's Flooring (Campsie)07 Oct 2025
We’re sorry to hear you felt this way about your experience. However, we’d like to clarify a few important points. Our team offered to rectify the flooring and levelling issues at no additional cost, but this offer was declined. The timing of when we bring or store materials on site is part of our normal work process and does not affect the quality of the final result. During the job, the building lift was out of service, and our installers had to carry all flooring materials and rubbish up and down seven floors manually. Despite this, we removed all flooring waste generated by our team. We did not take rubbish belonging to other trades, as this was outside our agreed scope. In addition, there were unapproved variations and no formal strata permission obtained for the works, which caused delays and were outside our control. We always aim to deliver high-quality results and transparent communication. We regret that this project was affected by factors beyond our responsibility.
