How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Being in hotel management and ops in Sydney travel to the coast was stealing 20hrs a week from my children. Work on the coast was scarce and I had a family to support along side my husband. I was PTing and doing make up sparatically and could see a quality service was missing from cleaners

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

Robert was a single dad, working 6 days a week running his business. Every week we not only cleaned but got all those other regular jobs like washing and folding clothes done. When the cobwebs needed removing, curtains to be washed or the skirting needed painting we were able to get the job done. Sometimes we would pop on a roast or go and collect the groceries. There is nothing Divas will not do to assist our clients.

Can you prepare dinner if I leave out ingredients? Yes but we need prior notice and this may incur extra charges  Do you make beds? Yes, please leave out linen and we prefer you strip beds to save us time  Do you just clean or do you de clutter too? We not only de-clutter, we can help organise your cupboards or even take away excess furnishings to be donated. We are so much more than just a cleaning service.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

How many bedrooms? Beds to be made? yes or no Bathrooms? Is there mold Extra wet areas such as toilets and laundry kind of cleaning required eg. End of Lease, Spring, Deep, De-Clutter/ Re-organisation, windows etc Do you have animals and if so what kind ( we may ask you to supply your own mop and vac) We are animal lovers and cross contamination from another home is not what we want for your pets.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Ensure things like dirty dishes or clothes and toys are not left on the floor. If you want a load of washing done or something specific while we are there please informs us via sms and leave us a note if you are not home. Avoid cancellation fees by supplying a key or easy access.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We charge by the size of the home. We are aware of how long it take to thoroughly clean your home based on bedrooms and bathrooms. If you have extra rooms just let us know and we will quote accordingly. We also do hourly rates of $40/hr up to 3hrs then discounts apply. Our minimum call out fee $80
