I hired Zia to waterproof and retile my bathroom shower. The job was challenging because I have a large floor to ceiling glass pane in the shower that gets direct water spray from the shower, and it takes up nearly one full side of the shower wall. One of the reasons I hired Zia was because he mentioned (not all tilers who quoted did this) what work he’d need to do to comply with waterproofing and tiling standards when he came out to do an on-site quote (I had read through the standards prior to getting quotes so was I was aware of what was required), and he also understood that tiling over mixed substrates/materials (aluminium, wood and cement sheeting) would need some consideration regarding priming, sealing and waterproofing. My job was not a common shower waterproofing and retile, because of the glass frame being in contact with the screed and walls, so it required some additional waterproofing products to avoid failure of the waterproofing (I had already discussed product selection with a number of manufacturers). Zia was experienced with the products and their application and completed the waterproofing to my satisfaction. For the tiling, Zia completed the floor and wall tiling, grout and silicone work to my satisfaction (I have high standards and this was for my master bedroom en-suite so I wanted near perfection). The tiles are nicely cut (straight and no chipping along the cut edges) and are level across the walls with no lippage (my wall tiles are rectified large format). Overall I’m happy with the work Zia did on my shower and would hire him again. If you are looking for a tiler I recommend him.N&p Tiling
