  Job Description: I have 2 dogs a Maltese x Shihtzu x jack Russell she is 12yr old Pippa and I have a long Haired Chihuahua who is 3yrs old Bailey. I can send you some details, I have a disability myself I am in a wheelchair and I have been have a few difficulties with other groomers harming my dogs and I had a look at your post as a friend of a friend recommended you. But I can send you some more details on them both as to what they are needing and some of the issues that we have had. I have an almost 12-year-old Maltese x Shihtzu x jack Russell. Pippa! She has hip dyspepsia in both hips she is very placid, but she can not stand for very long she loves pats and attention. I usually get a full groom monthly and wash, dry, tidy, teeth, nails fortnightly (or tidy if winter or in between grooms), she has her teeth cleaned, ears plucked and cleaned, nails cleaned and trimmed and smoothed rounded (if possible can you please file them smooth and round, I have a disability and it hurts if they are scratching me and i am a high risk for skin infections with any break in skin.) I have her own shampoo as she is skin sensitive as am I. She needs around her hygiene parts, eyes and pads on the bottom of her paws very closely groomed as she gets skin irritation and the vet advised it would be best for her. Pippa also needs around her eyes and the pads of her paw from underneath needs to be really close also. In summer she has the 2nd shortest length on her coat. In winter, she grows it long. Unfortunately she has developed a little bit of a fear after the last few groomers treating her poorly, the last one cut her ear at the base near her scalp she had a 1 inch piece of her ear and cartilage just hanging she didn't even tell me. So sadly, Pippa is a little hesitant at the moment. She adores being patted and getting all the attention, typical princess, of course. As for my 2nd one, Bailey is my naughty youngest fur baby. He has just turned 3 recently. He is a long-haired chihuahua who thinks he's a Rotti. He nornally has his coat deshed, I like his body coat to be short in summer, and I let his coat grow more in winter. However, he is a Long Haired Chihuahua so he cannot have he's coat shaved, I cannot stress that more ***PLEASE DO NOT SHAVE BAILEY.*** I have had 3 groomers that I have tried locally, working out of their homes. They have all shaved him even though I've asked them not to. He came back from one of them with shaver burns and cuts all over his little body, including all over his little private parts there were cuts and burns all over it. When i came to pick him up, i found him cowering in the corner with the groomer's 3 dogs basically attacking him, bundled up in the corner snapping and biting him and him whimpering! I was mortified to say the least, what was worst that the groomer was standing there with a friend watching egging the dogs on. She said to me it'll harden him up! Poor little guy is anxious at everything now, so i do give him a natural anxiety med and he has been attending training. Sadly again, he is a little uneasy when getting groomed as you could imagine. He also has his teeth cleaned, ears plucked and cleaned, close trim between his pads on the bottom of his paws, nails cleaned and trimmed. (May I also ask if you can smooth and round Baileys also please?) Around his bottom he needs it close and very short around that area please. He is a very sensitive guy, he is an absolute sweetie and loves being touched everywhere and melts everyone with his dewy eyes, i make their treats so i can bring some for you, he LOVES treats. Please don't give any treats containing salt. Bailey is currently in training for being a reactive dog. He has been known to back and growl (which sounds more like a rattle). But he would never hurt someone. He also love to play and run he is a happy little guy and he follows Pippa where ever she goes. He reacts to other dogs (other than Pippa) and small children. He responds well to removing him so he cannot see them or to give him a very small amount of treats to help calm him. Please leave his mane or collar area long and he's tail could have a deshed and slightest trim please. I find it hard to get to some groomers as I'm in a wheelchair it's not simple unfortunately.
