John Stassi, who is Ascend Automotive Services, responded quickly to my enquiry regarding a mechanic to service & check my newly acquired vehicle sometime this week, Monday afternoon I posted the request & by Monday afternoon John replied with his service quote of $265 depending on vehicle configuration I had, so no "starting from price" which was a positive start for me. John was also going to come to my work as well which meant I didn't "lose" time either by leaving & collecting vehicle either. Due Friday morning around 10.30am however with the weather, etc, John advised me he was behind schedule that midday was when he would arrive & so it was. After introducing ourselves I explained what was required & I left John to perform his work while I went back to my work. Text to notify car was ready before 1.30pm of which I was pleasantly surprised & then when finalising the job & payment, cash or bank transfer, no credit cards, John gave me sage advice about my warranty which came with the car as well. All up after a front headlight globe needed replacing as well as the $285 service John had originally quoted the final cost was $320 so there wasn't a nasty "surprise" at the end either. Will I use John again? more than likely & I have also hated a couple of his business cards to colleagues as well already. Why "only 4 stars?" Next time will be more proof in the pudding for me really however he certainly does come with my recommendation at this stage of our working relationship.Sydney Mobile Technician

Here’s what’s happening: • The engine feels like it’s stalling when stopped, usually after driving for 15+ minutes. The revs dip slightly then return to around 1,000 rpm. • The oil service light recently came on. I topped up the oil, but the issue persists. • When I opened the oil cap, some smoke/vapor came out.
