I needed my canopy rangehood installed, and my old exhaust fan removed. Jake responded very promptly to me and was easy to contact. He recommended someone else to patch the ceiling first as he was unable to do this. Jake had told me it would cost about $80-100 with this guy, but it actually came to $150. From my communication with Jake, I understood that the price for installing the rangehood, providing me the ducting, and also attaching the ducting directly to the existing flume in the ceiling would be $280. However, on the day, my partner was told that it cost $60 above this to attach the ducting to the existing flume in the ceiling, which I didn't hear about until I came home from work. I was quite upset about this unexpected price hike, as this meant that I could have hired others who would have done the entire job for me (and not required me to hire a second person to do the plastering) for cheaper. Also, the patching of the area around the rangehood at the ceiling was poor and my partner had to help me to re-patch it himself.
