Job Description: Hi there, I am writing to request a comprehensive, no-obligation quote for an electrical service at my home in Richlands, QLD 4077. I am planning to install a 32A industrial power outlet in my garage for EV charging, which I understand will require a switchboard upgrade and a new, dedicated circuit to meet Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000). Project Details: Location: Richlands, QLD 4077 (specific address to be provided upon scheduling a site visit). Service Required: Switchboard Upgrade: Assessment and upgrade of the existing single-phase switchboard to accommodate a new 32A circuit. Installation: Supply and installation of one 32A industrial 3-pin outlet (56PA332 style socket) on a new dedicated circuit with RCD protection. EV Charger: I already own a Tesla Universal Mobile Connector (UMC) Gen 2. Note: The UMC has built-in 6mA DC fault current detection, so a standard Type A RCD is sufficient for compliance. Preferred Location: The new socket should be installed in the garage on the wall near the front of the car, as indicated by the "blue arrow" in the attached image for optimal cable management. Request & Next Steps: Please include a load assessment of the property's main power supply as part of your quote. I have attached images of my current switchboard and the proposed garage location for your initial review. I am looking for a licensed and insured contractor who can provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety/Compliance once the work is completed.
