I absolutely love meeting new people and helping them with their photographic needs.  No two people are ever the same and so no two photographic needs are ever the same. Seeing my clients happy and returning to me for their photography is the light in my life and fuzziness in my heart!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

There are many 'photographers' out there, so when you are entrusting your family's precious moments to one of them, you should look at few aspects of their practice.  Some things to consider are: • Is the photographer qualified, that is, are they professionally trained in photographic techniques and in the business of photography? • Is their pricelist easy to understand and not open to misinterpretation? • Do they have professional affiliations, for example AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography)? • Do they have an office or some location where they can show you actual printed images (as images viewed on computer monitors vary greatly to a printed image) where quality and detail are critical. • Ask them about recommendations or ideas for your particular photographic shoot.  If they cannot provide satisfactory answers, then their photography is not going to be to your satisfaction either.   • Ask them about the whole process when booking with them.  A professional photographer will make you feel at ease about the pricing and what it includes, what happens after you've booked in your session, customer information sheets to help you prepare for the session, post-shoot information and how to select images.

Through my years of experience I have developed the skill to work in changing situations quickly and to be able to produce beautiful, thought-provoking images. I am also an Accredited Member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) which means you can be assured you a dealing with a photographer who honed their craft to the highest standard and is professional in business practices. What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

A few things that will help me provide the best service to you are: • with weddings, it comes down to coverage time, so estimate how long you will need the photographer and then add a couple more hours as things always take longer than you think. • what sort of products you want (photos for frames, canvas prints, photobooks or digital copies) • for portraits, it's the same with how long you'd like for your session and what you'd like to receive after the shoot • Is the location in Sydney or further afield?

Three things to consider to save you money when choosing your photographer are:  1. 'You get what you pay for' is so true when it comes to the level of experience of a photographer.  If they are cheap, they will be relatively inexperienced and that can cost you more than money in the end.  When it comes to your memories and once-in-a-lifetime events like a wedding, go with the work that you'd be happy with, not the cheapest. 2. If you are shopping for a photographer who is going to offer the lowest price possible, they are competing on price and not quality, so there is no comparison. 3. Visit their website and then arrange to have an in-person consultation to see their samples and work in print.   This is difference in knowing you are dealing with a professional photographer who prides themselves on their work and can demonstrate to you in 'reality', what you will receive.

You will be guaranteed value for money as you are going to employ someone who will do the job right for you and to the highest professional quality.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Family Portrait Packages start from $350 for a one hour photo session and 20 edited photos as digital copies. Wedding Collections start from $900 which include 3 hours coverage and USB of high resolution photos as digital copies. Commercial, Corporate and Events are generally charged by the hour starting at $250 per hour. Please contact me for more information about your photography requirements.

I have been a professional photographer for more than 10 years, working here in Sydney and Brisbane.   I am an Accredited Member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) which means there is a standard I need to maintain which is annually reviewed. We undertake ongoing training, attend conferences and are part of an organisation which upholds the professional practice of photography. I am qualified with a Diploma in Photo Imaging and I have attained several professional awards for excellence in photography.
