Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

All work is guaranteed, parts and labour, for a minimum period of 6 months or 10'000km, whichever occurs first. This is one of the requirements of becoming an RACQ Approved Repairer. Some manufacturers parts may also carry longer warranties.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The Vehicle identification number (VIN) is required to correctly identify your vehicle. This number is the vehicles 'fingerprint' and allows us to ensure that the parts quoted for your vehicle are correct. The VIN is 17 digits long and can be located on your registration sticker. This along with Make, Model and Year of production is all that is required.  If you require a tyre quotation, the tyre size is what is required. This is located on the sidewall of the tyre i.e. 205/65R15 95H.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Be concise about what needs to be done to the vehicle. 2. Let us know of any budget constraints prior to servicing. 3.Save time on diagnosis by providing as much information as possible on issues with your vehicle. Some times the smallest pieces of information can save hours in diagnosis labour.

Because we operate without franchise fees or advertising budgets allows we can keep our overheads low. This allows us to pass these savings on to you.   Unlike the Dealers, we are not compelled to use Genuine parts. Quite often parts of equal or better quality than that of the manufacturer are more economical to use.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Based on an hourly rate approved by the RACQ. Parts supplied by alternative European suppliers of genuine quality.  All quoted up front. Dealer level service at a fraction of the price.
