Yes we carry public liabiity insurance to $20M and we have product warranties and service guarantees

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

That's simple! We wanted a niche business where we could help people.  We wanted to do something which adds value to people's lives (and their homes) which gives satisfaction and the end of the working day!  Tile Rescue provides us with that, and more!

What do you like most about your job?

Transforming tiles and grout is very satisfying.  It can change the look and feel of a home and when this happens, you can see the joy and satisfaction in the client.  It can change the way a family uses their space - and we make areas easier to maintain for the future! And when we makeover a bathroom - this saves a lot of time cleaning - and our clients LOVE that!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Are you licensed and insured and, are you TECHNICALLY TRAINED to fix issues with tiles and grout.  Handymen are, often, NOT technically trained!  You need an expert!

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Accepted Answer

How much?  We can't answer that over the phone - we need to take a look at the size of the shower/the tiles; take a look at the condition of the area, and assess the tiles we're working with (there are many different kinds).  The best thing to do is book a quote appointment so we can answer questions one-on-one.

We turn up on time, give you all the information we can about the problem and the solutions.  We're 100% accountable for the outcome and you can call us if there is anything that needs to be discussed after the work is done!

Tile Rescue - Wollongong Northern Illawarra is our business!  We're proud of it, we work hard and value your time, your investment and most of all, your property!  We love seeing how delighted our clients are when the work is done!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

If it has tiles, or grout, and its leaking or dirty, then that's usually all we need to know.  If, on the rare occasion, that the job is outside our scope of works, we'll tell you!  We won't attempt to fix something outside our skill set - that said, we're the local tile and grout expert so we can usually help!

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

To save money, get a leaking shower assessed early, so it does not cause further damage to your home!  Sealing tiles and grout is a great investment for the future!  New tile and grout work should be sealed to protect porous services from staining.

We only ever quote what the job is worth!  Each quote is itemised so our clients can see exactly what they're paying for.  We'll usually offer a few different options, depending on the problem we're assessing, so our client can make an informed decision for their home.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

Each job is different - and so each job is individually quoted.  Often we'll provide our client with a few different options, depending on the desired outcome and the client's budget. An average leaking shower repair is $390 + GST - but this is only the average - sometimes its less, sometimes its more - it depends on what needs to be done and also what the client is hoping to achieve!

We specialise in re-grouting, leaking shower diagnosis and repair, leaking balconies, tile cleaning and sealing, grout cleaning and sealing, outdoor cleaning and anti-slip treatments.

We're licensed and insured and offer the Tile Rescue Service Guarantee.  We're technically trained to a very high standard and regularly participate in skills and competency testing!
