Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

The times when clients haven't been able to give me much direction due to being rushed for time or on a busy schedule. Being able to exceed their expectations and delivery them what they were after and better, on minimal direction is greatly satisfying.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy the whole process. Being able to turn an idea into an image, or capture a great moment at an event is very satisfying.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

If a photographer is offering an exorbitant number of images or all images taken on a shoot, it would indicate that their editing skills are subpar and image quality will be impacted. Ask what editing will be done per image and if a preset is going to be pasted onto each image.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Communication is a strong focus of mine, I want to ensure I'm on the same page as my clients before commencement and the expectations are fully understood. Building client relationships is my ultimate goal.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I pride myself on having above average photo editing skills. Many photographer will offer quantity over quality, I aim to delivery good quantity and very high quality.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

For event/ shoots- How many hours on location required and number of images expected.  For products- How many products and number of photos per product? Is a pure white background edit required on all?  Any non standard editing requests ie. Changing colours of items, removing subjects, adding items.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Have a clear description of what look you're after and if possible show references. 2. Getting the "in camera" photos as close to the goals is better than leaving a list of drastic photoshopping to be done and inflating the cost of editing time. 3. Pre- plan the shoot to be time efficient.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

My rate is $50/ hr + additional expenses incurred as part of the job. Quotes are calculated based on the total time required to produce the finished images including- time on location, travel to and from events, number of photos requested and time to edit and deliver the images.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

My Photography roots have been working with Fashion Labels and Independent brands and I would say that fashion photography, lifestyle social media content, modern photo editing styles and E-Commerce product photography are my specialties.

I have years of experience both in front and behind the camera on commercial photoshoots and this industry insight has given me an edge in producing high quality results for my clients.
