Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

I guarantee all work.  If you are unhappy with the photographs from your session I will happily reshoot at no additional cost.  If you are still not happy after the second reshoot, you will receive a refund of 50% of the cost of the photography session.  Exchange or refunds for products will only occur if the product is faulty.  Please contact me within 14 days of receipt of the products so that I can arrange the exchange or refund.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I often like to get children outside and exploring their immediate environment.  With one particular little girl we went to a local park and she spent the afternoon playing while I followed her around taking photographs.  When her mother saw the images for the first time she could not believe how accurately I had captured her daughter.  She said she had tried another photographer previous and the photographs we more staged and did not even look like her child.  This type of feedback is why I do what I do.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the fact that I am able to provide families with a service and product that they will treasure forever at an affordable price. I feel so blessed that I am invited into their lives for a short time to document an important stage in my client's life.  It is so much fun to play with kids and capture their exploration of the world around them and it brings me so much joy to see the reactions of my clients once I show them the images I have captured.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Q: When should I book my session? A: You can book your session at anytime, but the earlier you contact us the higher the likelihood that we will be able to fit you in at your desired time.    Q: What is the best age to have my children photographed? A: There is no 'ideal' time to shoot kids - they are gorgeous at all ages! No matter what age your child is I will be able to capture beautiful images.  Q: I am pregnant and want some pictures done. What is the best time? A: For pregnancy shoots the ideal time is between 32-36 weeks, as this is the time that you are at your biggest without the additional swelling the usually comes on in the final weeks of pregnancy. However anytime is an exciting time to photograph your baby bump so it is completely up to you! For newborn shoots it is best to have your baby photographed within the first 2-3 weeks of his or her life, as they will still have the crinkly, newborn look at this time.   If you would like a newborn shoot and you know the due date of your baby I suggest you contact us to make a tentative booking.   If your baby is early, running late or is not able to be photographed on that date, I am flexible and will be able to accommodate any last minute changes of plan.  Q: How do I prepare for the session? A: As soon as you make a booking I will send you an information kit that is full of tips to help you prepare for the session and gives you an insight into what will happen on the day.   If, after receiving this kit, you still have questions please do not hesitate to contact me.  Q: What if I have to make a cancellation? A: I am fully aware that life throws up many unforeseeable circumstances, and this is particularly true when you have children.   If, for whatever reason, you need to cancel your session, 24 hours notification would be appreciated.   Depending on your wishes we can reschedule at a later date or I can refund your deposit.  Q: How do I pay for the session? A: A 50% deposit of the session fee is required at the time of booking to secure the date, with the remainder of the fee required at the completion of the session.   This can be paid by either cash or direct deposit into the Sudden Glimpse bank account.  Q: When will I receive my images? A: It will take me approximately 2 weeks to work on and perfect your images.   After this time I will contact you to arrange a viewing session.   At the viewing session you will see your images for the first time and we will be able to discuss print and presentation options.   Please keep in mind that there is no minimum order required.   If you love your pictures as much as I know you will, we offer a variety of print options for you. If ordering prints, you will receive them within 6 weeks of placing your order.   If framing is ordered please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery.   Delivery is preferable by hand at your convenience, but if hand delivery is impractical, delivery costs will be factored into the price of the order.  Q: What if I am not happy with the images? A: I believe that it is important to stand behind the work that I do and therefore Sudden Glimpse Photography offers a satisfaction guarantee. Capturing images that other people fail to notice, or would just glimpse at but not really see, has become a passion of mine. These moments can pass us by very quickly and can be lost due to the fact that no one has been there to observe it. This is particularly true when it comes to children. With a keen eye for composition and a natural approach to my photography I capture beautiful and stylish images that serve as timeless pieces.  I have a Diploma of Arts (Applied Photography) from the Photographic Imaging College and a partially completed Bachelor of Fine Art - Photography from the Victorian College of the Arts. Couple that with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and 4 years teaching experience, as well as the fact that I am a mum of two young boys, and I am more than qualified to provide you and your family with professional photographic services that are child friendly.  The Sudden Glimpse experience is a unique experience catered to your individual needs. I come to your house, or a location of your choosing, and engage you and your family in a fun and memorable personalised, professional photography session. Sessions are never rushed. What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

For a thorough and accurate quote I will need to know your choice of location, the quantity of people you wish to be photographed, the date you would like the photographic session to be held on and the prints and products that you would like to purchase.  From that information I will be able to customise of quote that caters to your individual needs.

There are three ways that you can save money with Sudden Glimpse Photography.  First of all we offer a very competitive price for the photographic session that includes a free print as a gift to you.  For further savings we have compiled specific packages that offer substantial savings.  Finally, if you refer a friend we will send you a 10% off discount voucher that you can use with your next session or print order.  We are also happy to create individual packages to suit your specific needs and budget.

Your personalised, professional photographic session will cost $90 and includes a free 8x12" enlargement as our gift to you for booking with Sudden Glimpse Photography.  Print prices start at $20. We have a variety of sizes, styles and presentation options, including montage prints, canvas, handcrafted photo art books, cards, DVD slideshows and professional framing.  We also have a variety of packages available that offer substantial savings.  For a comprehensive price list please contact us.  Gift vouchers are also available in a dollar amount of your choosing.
