We guarantee you will love your new website and will stay connected to you after it goes live, to sort any issues and make sure this is achieved. We also have professional indemnity insurance to protect your business if things go wrong. As well, our agency uses a range of safe practices for passwords, data storage/management and development workflow. We have emergency plans in place that will utilize the assistance of another agency if there are any death, illness or accident amongst those in our family business. You can feel reassured about the quality and security of our work on your website.

Risk is minimal in the industry as we predominately use remote communication (phone, video, email, cloud storage, etc). For local businesses we can meet at their premises if they wish but predominantly all communication is done remotely.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

In the 90s as a hobby I dabbled in programming and improving computer function. It didn't evolve into a career. Over the years I've always steered back to computer work in different ways. As an interest I completed training in building computers in about 2010. I started as a full time agency in Dec 2020 after several years of short courses and other preparations.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I assisted with a major website upgrade for a Uganda community care program. It was a real buzz to be part of what they were doing (in a way) . It was heart breaking to hear of the need in their community but great to see how many people were connected to the program and how quickly the it had developed. I assisted for a reduced fee and it was great to be involved.

Love supporting local people and their businesses so their site can help their business do its best to boost their returns. I enjoy helping them achieve success with their vision and passion. The work has difficulties that are rewarding and exciting in the process of overcoming them. It is an industry where I'm constantly learning to keep abreast of latest and I love it

DEPOSIT and OVERALL FEE why does it cost so much and why 50% in advance?  Willingness to pay a deposit is a good sign that people are committed to the project and are comfortable for the project to go ahead. The cost relates to making a fast site that looks good and functions well and creating a secure site that appears to relevant search results. This all takes more work (and skill!) than many people realise  EMAIL Why is there so much cost in setting up email?  Business that email is set up correctly should be an important part of your operations. Without use of best protocol and policies, email can be insecure, have poor deliverability and the sender reputation of your business affected. We recommend using external email providers for both business email (person to person) and transactional mail (confirmation messages, password resets, etc). This helps contribute to your email being delivered and it's easier to change your website hosting provider if needed. Yes sometimes email hosting can be set up quickly but we take the time to make sure you get secure, delivered email and your sender reputation remains high.  DOMAINS why can't you get the domain and I pay you for it.  Website owners should always control of their domain name. The domain renewal is an important expense not to let slide. If you move to a new developer (or sell the business) you also don't want any problems regarding ownership of the domain.

Prior to starting our agency, I worked for 16 years as a compliance officer in the state government. My conduct and expertise was on display and on-call everyday. I was involved in emergency events that involved long hours and above normal duties at short notice. I apply this ethic to the support I provide to clients of our agency should the need arise.

Here are some tips for saving money before your project starts: 1. Look at live sites for examples of what you are after in a website. Be aware some features or functions you see will often increase the budget.  2. Collect images of your business - premises, products, services or staff 3. Collect or write content like text, headers, descriptions. Type them onto a word doc page

How do you normally charge for your service?

A negotiated fee for the project. Small projects might be paid upfront but most are 50% paid upfront and remaining 50% when the site is live. Some larger ecommerce stores or booking sites are paid 50% at start and 25% at the second feedback session and 25% when the site is live. Repairing or improving sites is probably my favourite speciality. Security checks and upgrades is often part of this type of work. Producing quality Squarespace sites for those that struggle with the complexity of Wordpress is becoming the core service provided by our business. We use SeoSpace for quick assessment and improvements to our squarespace sites.

I have worked in maintenance and middle management roles for all my life. I have trained with RMIT Melbourne over several years to upskill before starting the business.
