  I had solar panels installed by Solar Merchants on 25/10/2023, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Shortly after the installation, my roof began to leak. I contacted Solar Merchants, and they sent someone out to inspect the damage. Unsurprisingly, they claimed the leak had nothing to do with their work. Knowing this couldn't be a coincidence, I hired an independent roof inspector. Their official report concluded that the damage and leaking were a direct result of the solar panel installation. Specifically, Solar Merchants chose to install six of the panels on a flat section of the roof, which trapped the rain, caused water buildup, and led to the leaking. The inspector's report detailed that the panels needed to be relocated to a different, pitched part of the roof. I sent this external report to Solar Merchants, which finally forced them to take action. They came back out and fixed the specific areas of the roof that were leaking, but did not repair the other damage to the roof they had caused. However, they proceeded to reinstall the solar panels in the exact same flat section of the roof against the inspector's advice. Predictably, my roof is now leaking all over again. Avoid this company at all costs. Their initial installation was negligent, they tried to dodge accountability, and even when handed a professional report explaining exactly what the problem was, they repeated the exact same mistake. Save yourself the trouble of water damage and go with a company that actually knows what they are doing.

  After a couple of years' experience with Mustafa, we are just about old friends. We first had panels placed on the roof as a second set to boost our performance, we were to install a battery to our system at the same time, but the Government grant was not successful. Sadly, this resulterd in no difference to our electricity bills. We realized we needed to have a battery system - with the new Commonwealth grant applying we are looking forward to significant reductions in our bill. Mustafa has been working hard for us to get the best outcomes this time around. We had it installed on Christmas Eve.   I have nothing but positives to say about solar merchants. My journey to solar + battery system started with Google search. I have come across a number of companies that has 4.9 to even 5 star review. But after talking to their sales team , I was not sure if the 5 star was actually legit - the pressure to say "yes" , getting me across the dotted line and the claim "we are the best you will get in Australia". Then came Solar Merchants . They delivered what they promised. I had the pleasure of speaking to Mustafa and our conversation was not only informative but educational as well as i knew nothing about solar panels. Instead of trying to sell , he treated me like a family member . He was incredibly patient with me and answered all my questions no matter how silly or rhetorical they were. His designed a system that is perfectly catered for my household needs. He was even open to suggestions and make changes where needed. The price quoted was affordable and the installation happened right on schedule. His installer and the team was kind and friendly. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up after them . I have heard horror stories about installers damaging roof work during installation. My roof and infrastructures involved is perfectly intact. They were also kind enough to answer all my questions regarding the system / maintenance and trouble shooting. I have been provided with open line of communication should anything goes wrong. I felt supported and in good care. All things considered, I would recommend solar merchants over any other company out there. Because in the end you would want someone who walks the walk after they talked the talk.
