Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

I have public liability insurance. I charge a non-refundable deposit but there is no obligation to purchase a package. This can be decided after you view the photographs.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I've had a love of photography since I was 16 years old. However I didn't start offering my services until my second child came along, where I realised just how much I love taking photos of newborns and families. I haven't looked back since!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I had a cake smash for a little girl. She didn't want to touch the cake, she wasn't a fan of getting her hands dirty so Mum got in there, digging her hands in - the look on her daughters face was just priceless. How dare she ruin her cake? How could she make such a mess? Great outtakes for Mum.

What do you like most about your job?

I love meeting new people and providing something truly special for them. Watching their eyes light up when they see that connection in the photograph and remembering that moment, how they felt - knowing that every time they look at it, they will always feel that. Nothing beats that for me.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Apart from admiring their work, I think it's really important that you feel relaxed with your photographer. There needs to be a connection and great communication beforehand, this way you have full confidence on your day in your photographer. It's important that you fit well together.

A lot of people wonder how long they should book a wedding photographer for - I have a free timeline download available which helps. Essentially, decide on the most important parts of the day you would like captured and approx how long this would take.

I take great pride in my work and I work hard. I am always early so that I am ready for the session. I like to check lighting conditions before you arrive so that I can be ready for you.

I like to create a relaxed, fun time. This is a special time in your life and I want that to come across every time you look at your photographs.

The type of session you require - Wedding (number of hours you require), Newborn, Family etc. The date the session is to take place and possible location.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

All my packages are very competitively priced. A good tip for saving on wedding packages is booking a year in advance. Depending on markets, rates usually go up every year so this is a good way to get a great deal.

I charge my prices based on the hours I do - the time spent with you and the time it takes to edit. This is regardless of whether it is a newborn session, wedding or family portrait. I treat each client and job with the same respect.

How do you normally charge for your service?

This varies depending on the session you require. Weddings are usually charged based on the number of hours you require plus any extras you would like. For all my other sessions, I charge a sitting fee and then your choice of package.

I love building connections, special moments and great fun in my photographs during Engagement & Wedding photographs, Maternity, Newborn and Family sessions.

I continuously invest in my work building on my skills. I have a Diploma of Arts in Applied Photography as well as attending workshops with world leading photographers.
