  After accepting the quote he then put the price up several times. Almost all my windows and mirrors have paint on them and my bathroom sink has dried paint in it from him cleaning his brushes and now has to be replaced. He gave my dulux colour samples to choose from and when i told him which dulux colour he said he didn’t use dulux and charged me more for using that brand, yet when i got the receipts he had used dulux paint for part of the job and another brand for the rest. Plus there is one wall totally unpainted

  The customer was entirely satisfied at the time with what by any standard was a professional job. His colour samples were Dulux and he was advised that the total quantity of paint amounted to no more than approx 29 lites. Accordingly the Dulux discount was in the tens of dollars only. Dulux paint was used in all cases except on trim where a superior product was used at no additional cost above initial quote. He also accepted a quote that included a standard discount offered to pensioners and was approximately half the cost of another quote he obtained. ALL walls that were specified to be painted were double coated and at completion he was happy. There was approx 300mm skirting which was missed and I returned to complete this when advised. On completion I requested an opportunity to return and take photographs for a job portfolio to which he agreed but never responded. At that time he could have raised any concerns. This customer has not contacted me regarding the above. Very disappointing.
