Awareness Project is a place where people can feel comfortable expressing themselves and explore their health and lifestyle concerns. Our studio incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine, Remedial Massage and Movement training. To assist in improving your health. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a practise derived from china 5000 years ago. The principles are based on Taoist philosophy, such as Yin and Yang, and five elements theory, focussing on treating the root problems stemming from the internal organs to harmonise and balance the body. Some of the tools used are acupuncture, cupping, moxabustion, tuina, Chinese herbs, movement and dietary suggestions. Acupuncture is a treatment method which uses thin needle to puncture through the skin and stimulate meridians that are located in the body to create movement and natural flow, to help the body correct itself and aid recovery. Remedial Massage works with the muscular skeletal system and connective tissue to aid in muscles and connective tissue issues. It is a deeper style of massage that reaches the muscle layer of the body to relax and soften the tissues, move the fluids to assist in recovery. Movement training utilises sport science in the health and fitness world to address issues relating to an individuals form and function, to create movements that are essential to improving their daily lifestyle. Helping address poor posture, prehab/rehab, performance, through functional training, primal movement patterns, mobility and breathing exercises.
