Impressed with the final rendering result, which was of high quality with neat edges and an even finish. Mike was a quick worker and also very willing to return to fix up an issue caused by freak weather. I would have given the job a 5-star rating if it wasn’t for the following lack of care/ attention to detail: finish around windows was messy in places; dried paint was left on window frames, light fittings and taps, which took a lot of my time to clean up — this could have been largely avoided by simply wiping off paint whilst still wet and covering fixtures with plastic bags; clean-up of rubbish was half-arsed — bits of plastic sheeting left strewn around the garden, lumps of dried cement left scattered across the lawn, paint spilt on the verge and a terrific amount of soil contamination. Although some mess is to be expected with a big job like this, some simple precautions and more care and effort with the clean up would have been greatly appreciated and would have saved me a lot of hassle and time. Also, was puzzled by a surprise request for payment of a deposit that had not been agreed.
