  Excellent move of 350 boxes of wine from one storage facility to another. Two hard working blokes and a truck hand loaded and unloaded from shelving over a day and a half. Very happy. Grace Removals did not want the job and contacted Kent Removals but no response! Well done SAM.

  After our experience on the 20th of February, I would strongly caution anyone against using Sam's Removals if you want a stress free moving day. We booked an 8 tonne truck on the 14th of February, confirmed for an 8–9am arrival on the 20th. By 9:50am, having heard nothing, I was the one repeatedly calling and texting to find out where the team was. When I finally got through, I was told their 8 tonne truck had been defected and the only option was a 4.5 tonne truck — available somewhere between 12–2pm. No one had called to let us know. We found out because we chased it. At 1:30pm, after following up again for an update, we were told the crew were still 30 minutes from finishing a previous job and then faced a 45-minute commute. They finally arrived at 3:45pm... six hours after our booked time. The lack of proactive communication throughout the entire day was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the smaller truck meant two trips were required. While we were only charged at the 4.5 tonne rate, the additional trip meant the overall cost was higher than what we had originally budgeted for. What should have been a straightforward morning move dragged on until 9:44pm — an exhausting and entirely avoidable outcome to what was already an incredibly stressful day. The two removalists themselves were the one bright spot — they were careful, efficient, and professional throughout. It's a shame the same can't be said for the company behind them. The final insult came at the end of the day when the team refused to unload the last piece of furniture until full payment was made. After everything we had endured, that left an incredibly sour taste and felt tone-deaf given the circumstances. Sam's Removals failed on communication, punctuality and customer care. I won't be using them again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  Do not book this removalists, especially if you are a solo female. They arrived 7 hrs late with a truck 1/4 of the size I ordered. The truck also was taken up with someone else’s stuff. When it came to pay Sam wanted to charge me for a larger truck and stopped him men from unloading threatening to drive away with my remaining items, call the police and take me to court. Moving is one of the biggest stresses in life and you don’t need the extra stress and threats from Sam.
