Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
The business does have insurance which is renewed annually. I do guarantee my work. I am happy to go back, even after several years to rectify any problem.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
From a very young age I had an interest in playing with tools. When I was about 7-8 I was making billy-carts for myself as well as friends. While I was still at school I started making table tennis tables and selling them. This paid for my first car. Following school I studied science for 2 years. Included in the course was workshop prac. where I did lathe work and glassblowing etc. During 10 years of owning the hardware store I made insect and security screens and doors for customers. On selling the hardware it was a natural progression to continue working for myself and using tools.
