Request A Floor is a family owned and operated flooring installation company. I have been in the flooring industry since i was 17 years of age. I did a ruthless 4 year apprenticeship and 2 years of tafe to become a fully certified tradesmen. I Specialise in Commercial Vinyl flooring installations, concrete grinding, floor preparation and floor levelling systems, measuring and planning to become a senior estimator in floor estimator pro. My floor levelling system's are 2nd to none with 1mm tolerance achieved over any distance of floor every single time. The secret to any floor laying is subfloor preparation and it is essential for achieving a perfect job. I also lay carpet, carpet tiles, flotex, axeminster hamd woven patterned carpets, regupol rubber and gym tiles. vinyl planks, vinyl tiles, motifs, vinyl bartops, wall sheet, vinyl welding and coving expert. I moved to the Gold Coast 15 years ago continuing as a carpet & vinyl layer for many years then ventured into retail flooring sales for 5 or so years and have owned and operated my own flooring shop in the past. I've had the privilege of meeting some of the finest people and tradesmen within the flooring industry and saw the need to change the industry standard of carpet and vinyl laying which is badly lacking in qld with massive shortages of apprentices. i have trained and/or been involved with training more than 10 apprentices over my 25 years in the trade, and most became very successful within the industry and i still have contact with most of them and even still work with some. My company Requestafloor is a creation of The Gold Coasts finest & hand selected master craftsmen within the industry. There are floor layers a dime a dozen on the coast, and then there is Requestafloor master tradesmen, the hand selected elite.
