Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Pridal Services is a fully insured and licensed painting and decorating company. We have public liability insurance in place of $20m. Pridal Services offers our customers a five year warranty on all our workmanship.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

When I left school at 17 years of age I started working for my father as a painter & decorator in the UK. I decided at this time that I was going to make something happen in this industry. At 22 years old I created my first business in Painting & Decorating and have been in business ever since.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We had a lovely customer a while back that wanted a fence painted a particular green colour and by mistake we had a slightly different green made. We corrected the issue straight away, customer mentioned to us that we all make mistakes now and then, it is how we deal with them that matters!

By far the most liked thing for my company is having another happy and pleased customer. I enjoy going above and beyond to make my customers happy and once they are satisfied with the end result, I have my best day.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

I would say that the most common question asked is regarding colours. What colour would go in this property? What colour would look nice with the current furniture?  My answer to these questions is to go through my Dulux colour charts with the customer and/or point them to my paint gallery on my website. If we can not get to a point of choosing colours then I recommend using my colour consultant. If I am the chosen painter to carry out the job then the colour consultants costs is paid for by Pridal Services.

Pridal Services has a number of strict policies in place to ensure our customers that our employees are trustworthy and reliable. All employees have there police checks, DCSI Screening to work in schools plus are all First Aid trained for any eventuality.

The exact requirements: Whats to be painted: ceilings, walls and woodwork Is the woodwork currently varnished and to be painted or is it already painted? Is the cornice an intricate design or straight forward? Internal or external?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

If you require wallpapering and you want to save some money then I would recommend three things to do.  1) If possible prepare the area before we get there. Feel the wall with your hand and remove any imperfections. 2) Make sure you explain before hand your exact requirements so no added costs need to go on at the end. 3) Get two quotes before us and then we will beat the lowest quote.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Pridal Services will always quote a job on a price basis and not an hourly rate. This way you will know before we even start exactly how much the job is going to cost.  If we take slightly longer to finish the job than expected, the price stays the same.

How do you normally charge for your service?

How we prefer to charge our customers is by providing you with a price at the start and not by the hour. Charging by the hour can mean that the costs for you spiral out of control and you do not know where you stand.  By providing you with a price at the first meeting on the job, you then know exactly what the cost at the end is going to be. We will not ask for any money up front. We only ask for the price to be paid at the end of the job and once you are entirely satisfied with the works carried out.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I gained all my qualifications in the UK where I carried out my apprenticeship.  I gained levels 1, 2 and 3 in City & Guilds for Painting & Decorating as well as all typoes of painting specialist affects, marbling, rag rolling and the list goes on.  I have dedicated myself to achieving the best for my business.
