Yes, I am an insured business. I have  current Public Liability Insurance. My aim is to always exceed my customers expectations in all areas of my business practices.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started working for Pixi Foto in SA in the early 1990's which gave me the opportunity to work with people, learn about photography and travel not only all over SA but also NT. A bonus was gaining the knowledge of how to deliver an extremely high level of customer service which I pride myself on today.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I have many happy and some funny stories but I think the most recent one stays in my mind for a more important reason. I took photos of a staff member approx 5 years ago and he passed away unexpectedly prior to Christmas in 2012. As the company no longer had a copy on record I provided another (free) so it could be printed & enlarged for a special event he would be remembered at for all of the staff to attend. It was a rewarding feeling to know that I could help in this small way.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the variety of work, the clients I work with and the places I get to visit.  No 2 weeks are ever the same!

Has the service provider carried out this type of work before? Was the task completed effectively and efficently? How much will it cost? When can it be done (timeframe)?

For Corporate Photos - Do you enhance/photoshop them? Yes For Architectural Photos - Does it have to be sunny? No, better if its not - flat light is better - no shadows. For Product Photos - Can I have a white background? Yes, I use a light tent & flash units to provide this look.

Since starting my own business my clients have utilised my services over 13 years now and their repeat business is invaluable. A further compliment is the referrals I receive from them on a regular basis.

Ive been working in the industry for approx. 25 years, and continually refresh my knowledge and skills through regular workshops, tafe courses and AIPP events. Im an accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

How long they require me for? For staff photos: how many staff, location of photos (inside/outside), formal/casual, number of photos ? Architectural/Real Estate: Day or Dusk photos? Size of house, number of photos needed, enhanced? Product Photography: How many items? How many angles? photos taken single or in groups?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

This depends on the type of photos you wish to have done. E.g. 1: New Build of Property photos it is best to have the interior & exterior uncluttered prior to my arrival, of course saving time & money. 2: Product & website Photos - pick out the individual pieces you need photographed & also group together the hampers, etc prior to the time of photography. 3: Corporate Head Shots: think about the style of photos you need for your business are they going to be casual or formal, inside or taken outside - all of which will save time. Overall, I will always guide the client by asking them questions prior to undertaking any photography.

My pricing varies according to the clients requirements do each photoshoot I attend. Each client will have pricing tailored especially to their needs after I have had an opportunity to speak with them direct.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I can provide an invoice either in person, via email or post once the photos are provided to you. All payments are made via EFT direct into my account within 14 days of statement.

I pride myself on having a thorough knowledge of all areas of photography that I undertake keeping in mind the different requirements needed in each job.

With over 25 year experience I am confident and capable in my area of photography. When dealing with people I want them to feel comfortable and relaxed that they will receive the end product that they envisage.
