OzAds is not a trade business and as a consequence needs no insurance.  In terms of guaranteeing my work, I can guarantee the work and advice we provide will produce results if strategies are adhered to.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I launched Big M in Victoria. Big M was not going to be the name of the product. It was a secret project and was the working title for the project over the six months of strategy planning and product development. When it cam time to settle on a brand name, I suggested to the Milk Board that we stick with the name and Big M was launched. Today it is one of the iconic brands in the advertising industry.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy the challenge and the creative process of every project I work on. Not every job is the same. For example, I may have two companies both selling a similar or same product but both companies will have different strategies to achieve.

Most companies and customers want to make sure that I am the right person for the job before they go any further. Examples of work always comes up in the discussions but every project is different. I prefer to say to a client, don't ask what I have done for others but what I can do for you. At the end of the day, making your advertising and marketing work is what it is all about.

I grew my businesses from a standing start so I understand what companies and individuals go through when building a business. I want to help companies grow their business. If they grow, I grow.

My experience and the clients I have done business with establishes my company as someone who truly understands the advertising and marketing purchasing decisions made by your clients and customers.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

A company coming to me for advertising, marketing advice or graphic design work must have a firm strategy in place. For example, if it is for a brochure, how will they distribute the brochure? Will there be a call to action in the brochure? Is it a brochure to hand out to potential customers? There a lot of questions that need to be asked and understood before a concept can be devised.

1. Make your competitors business your business. 2. Understands the motivating reasons why people choose to buy from you instead of your competitors. 3. Customers buy benefits not features of a product or service.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

My offers vary from time to time. For example, recently I offered a corporate logo and stationery package for $2,500 including GST which covered a logo design and printed stationery including letterhead, business card, envelopes, etc.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I am not in the business to make a fortune. Quite frankly, I have already done that with the two companies I owned. I work from home and being able to offer clients a full range of services ensures I still keep my brain working as I have a lot of experience and expertise to offer.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Basically I qoute on a project upfront based on a thorough written or verbal briefing. I then assess the workload and time required to finish the project and a written quote is provided. When the quote is accepted I require a 25% deposit and the work begins.

Over the years I have handled clients from a myriad of industries including furniture, clothing, automotive, appliances, white goods, fashion, etc. It is not so much a situation of who I have worked with but what I can do for you.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been a printer and understands the whole print process. I have worked in advertising agencies for many years and owned two successful advertising businesse of my own. I have a Printing and Graphic Arts Certificate, Advertising Diploma and a Marketing Degree.
