Is this the worst removalist company available? I think so. I hired Onyx for a simple office furniture move. They sub-contracted it out to two clowns that arrived without any tools to disassemble any furniture and only had a single carton trolley. No other tools to move heavy furniture. They ended up borrowing our trolley to assist with moving items. On the second booking we had a few days later to re-assemble furniture, they advised they would arrive at 1-2pm, this became 3pm, then asked if they could do it the following day. After lot's of stuffing around and me chasing them for updates, they cancelled using some poor excuse that did not align with any of the other communication earlier in the day. So if you want an unreliable removalist that has no tools to complete the work, definitely hire these guys!Austin X

The overall experience with this company was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. While initially appearing cheaper, the move ultimately proved more costly. Removalists: Despite completing the move, they caused damage to our fridge and a computer table. Although the removalists were helpful during the move, they lacked accountability for the damage they caused, refusing to accept responsibility. Admin: A significant disconnect existed between the administration department and the removalists. The removalists continually added hidden fees that were not included in the original booking quote. When we raised these unexpected charges with the admin department, their response was highly unprofessional. Instead of attempting to de-escalate the situation, they resorted to yelling at us. Transparent Pricing & Charges Before confirming any booking, we provide a detailed quote outlining all applicable charges, including stair fees, which were clearly stated in your quote. While you initially disputed this, you later acknowledged—during a call with management two days after posting your review—that the charges were included but overlooked. Despite this, we remained professional and even waived additional charges to ensure a smooth moving experience. 2. Damage Claims & Accountability We take all damage claims seriously and have a structured insurance process. However, when we requested proof (photos and receipts) to proceed with your claim regarding the fridge and computer table, you were unable to provide any documentation. Without evidence, we could not verify the claim. 3. Professionalism of Our Team Our admin team communicates all pricing and policies upfront and strives to handle concerns professionally. We regret that you felt otherwise, but at no point did our team act unprofessionally. In fact, despite the disagreement over charges, we continued to assist you and made concessions to resolve the matter amicably. We value our customers and operate with honesty and integrity. While we understand moving can be stressful, it is important to present the full context of this situation. We remain open to resolving any outstanding concerns professionally and constructively.
