What COVID-19 measures do you have in place?

COVID-19 ~ Cancellations / Rescheduling:  Let’s do what we can to keep COVID-19 at bay and wash our hands frequently, eat well, take our vitamins, use contactless payment, shop online, and limit our social contact with people unless it’s necessary. It is all helping us to see through this time.  Should the government recommendations of social distancing and quarantine lead you to the cancellation of your wedding, whether because of the venue, planner, other vendors, or your own personal choice, I understand and respect your  decision. I am aware that the situation has been in the past evolving rapidly, and  this year is no different ~ everyone is playing it all by ear. I know that the last thing you want to do is reschedule. I won’t pressure you to make this call sooner than you must, so please know I am here for you both.  As you know, I received a non-refundable booking fee upon booking your wedding. If your wedding is cancelled or is rescheduled, whether because of government recommendation, third party choice (venue, etc) or personal choice, I am not in the position to offer a refund ~ however, below is a list of my revised scheduling conditions.  • If you choose to reschedule because of COVID-19 any amount paid towards your wedding will be applied as a credit to your rescheduled wedding date.  • This includes government regulations that would prohibit you from proceeding with your current plans or due to self-isolation.  • All rescheduled wedding dates must be rescheduled within 12 months of your original wedding date and dates are subject to my availability.  • You will not incur any rescheduling fees; price increases or loss of payments you have already made should we be able to mutually agree on a new date. I reserve the right to increase your package amount for any work added outside the scope of your package inclusions or as originally stated on your invoice.  • Please consider a Friday, Sunday or weekday wedding as a lot of vendors are already at capacity for Saturday weddings that were rescheduled during 2020. I have in the past had some couples who went ahead with a small ceremony, and then transferring their party to another date too. So, there are a few different solutions out there that might give you some alternative ideas.   I think it’s important for all of us to know where we stand.  Secondly, I do ask that if you or your future spouse present symptoms of COVID-19, and if you choose to go against quarantine recommendations and still have your wedding, that you let me know. It is my feeling that in this case, you should immediately cancel your wedding to reduce the spread of this virus to your guests and vendors. As your photographer, I spend a lot of time with you and come in very close contact all day.   Similarly, if I present with symptoms, I will find a replacement shooter to cover your wedding. I take health seriously.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I've always had a love of photography, as a child taking images of  everything and I mean everything, flowers, cow, sheep, cats, dogs, people ~ well you get the idea! ​  In 2008, when our daughter was born premature things changed for me.​ The fact that we almost lost her so many times, seeing how quickly life and her health could change and not having any control over it all ~ it is heartbreaking.  I made the choice then to capture all those little moments which would make me never forget them, or at least have reminders of her precious time in NICU.         Remember, Life is too short!!  So, being a mum of a special needs child, come school time it was time for me to find something to do during school hours.   On a holiday in Torquay I was taking some photographs of hubby and daughter just casually walking on the beach and it came to me ~ I am going to be a lifestyle photographer!​ ​ SO .... fast forward to 2025, and you will find me in Sunbury with my family offering wedding and lifestyle photography serving all regions of Victoria and parts of Australia.   ​​​

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

wedding date it always helpful, as if I am going to quote to provide you a service I would love to know that I am available first ~ I have had the occasion where I have quoted someone they have come back to book me in and BAM I have a wedding already for their date 😢 SO I recommend wedding dates is a must not so much as soon as possible 🤷🏻‍♀️
