Discussed in detail what was required (gate, lock and post all powder coated) and he still installed the wrong size post. More important he installed a wrong coloured post and spray painted it after installation inclusive our face brick wall due to overspray. He is very argumentative over the phone as we advised that no payment will be made due to the reasons mentioned above. He agreed to fix it and did so some days later and expected us to pay it immediately. He harassed us with email and calls demanding payment even we have transferred the total sum but it seems hard for him to understand that it takes 1-2 business days. The client misunderstood the post size and seemed ok when informed of this also there was a problem getting a post powdercoated in the time frame so I tried to contact the client to see if we could use a different coloured post plus touch up paint.He didn't respond so I installed the gate thinking urgency trumped colour for the time being.Client did not contact me for over a week when queried he stated his disapproval for the post which I told him I would rectify under a barrage of abuse.The post was replaced & any overspray of touch up was removed to the clients approval.As for payment issues at the time of this reply I have yet to see any payment for this job and I have not had a reply to any of my attempts to contact the client.If there is a problem with any of my work my 1st & only response is to rectify the situation to the clients demands but unfortunately some clients are to belligerent to understand this.
