  I want to share the full story so you can really understand just how good Mark Stimson is. When we decided to renovate, we looked at both vinyl and timber flooring. We got multiple quotes from various places, and after a lot of research, I fell in love with the most beautiful (and unfortunately, the most expensive) flooring—engineered timber from Havwoods. It was way out of our budget, but nothing else felt quite right. Then I discovered that Havwoods offered clearance stock at a much more reasonable price. It was a game-changer. We're still working and have to be careful with spending, but this meant we could finally afford the high-quality flooring I had my heart set on. Now came the next hurdle—finding someone to install it. We got a few quotes through Havwoods' recommended installers, but again, the prices were just too high for us. I honestly thought we'd have to give up on the whole idea. Then came Mark Stimson. I posted the job online, and Mark quickly reached out. He showed up on time (which already made a great first impression) and sent through a quote that seemed almost too good to be true. I actually panicked a little—there are so many horror stories out there about tradespeople who take deposits and vanish or do terrible work. But I’m here to tell you: Mark and his team are the real deal. Mark, along with his dad Darren and brother Ricky, were absolutely fantastic. They moved furniture, worked efficiently, and treated the floor with real care and precision. The attention to detail—the cuts, the tones, the stairs—everything is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The final result honestly exceeded my expectations. During one of our chats, Mark mentioned he sometimes loses jobs because people think his quotes are too low to be legitimate. I can understand the hesitation—I felt it too—but I can confidently vouch for Mark and his team. They are skilled, honest, hardworking, and genuinely take pride in what they do. Thanks to Mark, we got our dream floor at a price we could manage, with a finish that looks like it came out of a showroom. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
