I hold a current public liability insurance certificate. I hold a current "Positive Notice Blue Card" Working with Children Check issued by Queensland Government.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I wanted to record my children's lives so I started taking photos every day. I realised how much I loved it, I set about learning the skills and understanding light in order to create beautiful, timeless images. Photography is my passion, my love and my joy. I can't image life without it.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I received an email from a teenager telling me she has no confidence, all she saw was ugliness when she looked in the mirror... I told her I must meet and photograph her and show her what her family and friends saw. She loved the experience, she loved her images, she is now a confident young woman.

What do you like most about your job?

Photographing faces. I love capturing expressions, those quirky smiles, giggling children, serious stares and sparkling eyes. Everyone has a unique personality and I love being able to showcase that.

If you're saying to yourself "I'll book a portrait session when I... loose weight; get my hair cut; the kids are a little older; save the money..." Stop. That day won't come. The perfect time is NOW, if you miss the opportunity to capture you or your family right now, you may regret it.

I am patient, my client's often tell me I have the patience of a saint. I pay attention to detail to ensure each image is perfect for you. I talk to you like you are a real person (don't laugh, lots of people lack this skill!).

I am an AIPP Accredited Professional Photographer.  What does this mean for you? An Accredited Professional is trained, skilled and educated. The status of an Accredited Professional is recognition that your photographer is committed to providing a professional service every time.

Ask lots of questions; talk to me about what to wear and most importantly tell me what type/style of photography you love so we can create, what will become, your favourite images during our portrait session.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I have trained and operate as a professional photographer. I provide life-time guaranteed prints and products. I believe you get what you pay for - so if you want a disc of 'standard' images for $50 there are plenty of people out there who will give you that; if you want perfection, hire me.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge $250 for a portrait sitting and offer affordable print packages for everyone. I believe all images should be printed and displayed rather than stored on a computer where no one will see them. "Print what you want to preserve".

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I love photographing children. There is something unique about each and every face and I capture their personality through my lens.  My second love is photographing people who wish to celebrate a milestone in their life: becoming single, turning 30, 40, 50 or beyond - any excuse is a good one!

An Accredited Professional Photographer is trained, skilled and educated. We undergo continued professional development (CPD) every year to ensure our business skills, technical skills and services are up to date. Never stop learning is my mantra.
